Frank M. Wilson—business litigation and injury attorney in Montgomery County

Frank M. Wilson, injury lawyer in Montgomery County, was born in Union Springs, Alabama in 1953.  He graduated with high honors from Birmingham Southern College and received his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1978.  As a law student, he was selected as a member of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and the Order of Barristers for excellent advocacy.

A history of success

Following law school, Frank clerked for one year with United States District Judge Robert E. Varner in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.  He was a founding member of Beasley & Wilson, nationally recognized for obtaining some of the largest jury awards and settlements in the country. 

In addition to success before the trial courts, Frank is known for handling difficult cases on appeal.  At the age of 32, he argued before the Supreme Court and obtained a unanimous 9-to-0 decision for his client.

He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, New York State Bar, District of Columbia Bar, American Bar Association, Montgomery County Trial Lawyers, the Alabama Association for Justice (Executive Committee) and the American Association for Justice.  Frank is also a member of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, a group of attorneys who handle complex and difficult cases against automobile manufacturers, and of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Jamie A. Johnston

Jamie Austin Johnston serves in an of counsel capacity in the law firm of Frank M. Wilson, P.C.

A native of North Carolina, Jamie graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 with a double major in Political Science and Speech Communications. She received Phi Beta Kappa honors from the university. Following her college graduation, Jamie attended Cumberland School of Law of Sanford University. While at Cumberland she served in various positions culminating in her final year of service as the president of the student body. Jamie graduated from Cumberland in 1998. 

Immediately following her law school graduation, Jamie served as a law clerk to the chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, the Honorable Perry O. Hooper, Sr. Completing her clerkship, Jamie joined the firm Haskell Slaughter. Jamie became a shareholder with Haskell Slaughter and served in that capacity for years.

Jamie is a member of the Montgomery Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar and the American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Alabama Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.

As an attorney, Jamie maintains an active case load in a variety of litigation areas, including construction defect, workers compensation, insurance coverage, employment law, insurance and casualty litigation, and bad faith litigation. Jamie's insurance coverage practice consists of reviewing all facets of insurance policies including commercial and personal automobile, homeowners, commercial general liability policies, umbrella policies and others.

Jamie is married to Watkins Cook Johnston, III of Montgomery, Alabama. They have two children.
